The whole story was just really great I liked Dave and Billy, I thought they were funny and cute together, and I liked the overall message and delivery. I wasn’t expecting the bit of plot/feels from the last part, but it was very much appreciated and enjoyable. The entire middle part of the story is about the boys practicing proper condom usage in preparation for the real deal, while also accidentally becoming friends with benefits along the way. That’s what kicks off Dave’s practical safe-sex education, with Billy as his teacher.

Billy is the first friend he makes there, and the boys have been best friends for a while when Dave notices the basket of free condoms on the counter of a local coffee shop. Dave is a recent transplant in Asheville, which is a much more accepting place than his hometown and that means that he is able to safely explore his sexuality. It’s sweet, and hilarious, and fluffy, and informative, and just cute all around. Read the thing: Read the thing! This is a short story (about 28 pages long on my Kindle app) about Dave and Billy learning the ins-and-outs about safe sex with condoms. “ Hey, I can’t help it if my parents raised me in the woods instead of civilization.”
